New 7 Wonders & Problems Behind It

Some weeks ago, on 11 November 2011 to be exactly, New7Wonders of Nature (N7W) had announced new list of seven wonders of the world at their headquaters in Zurich, German. This new seven "champions" have beat other 21 finalists from around places in the world. The new seven wonders list is describing:

• Amazon (South America)
• Halong Bay (Vietnam)
• Iguazu Falls (Argentina, Brazil)
• Jeju Island (South Korea)
• Komodo the animal (Indonesia)
• Puerto Princesa Underground River (Philippines)
• Table Mountain (South Africa)

Truly, they're amazing treasures of the world but onot only them. The other finalists are also awesome. Check it out:

3. Black Forest (German)
4. Bu Tinah Island (UEA)

It is a great joy for citizen of the finalist countries to see what their nations have to be dominated. However, is it a right place to be happy? is it such great to see your country make it and win? does the N7W really have such big privilege to nominate seven wonders that belong to the world? let's check again.

Facts about what happen behind the N7W organization are revealed, and that facts sound no good.

1. Bernard Werber and friends registered New7Wonders of the world on 26 June 2000 at Schwyz as a company who has mission to promote world's wonders through internet.
2. On 7 October 2003, local court judged this company for insolvent.
3. Schwyz goverment office revoked its "company" register on 5 January 2006.
4. Meanwhile, Bernard Werber and friends created another New7Wonders of the world. This time not as a company but just a foundation.
5. The foundation was registered at Schwyz on 7 April 2004.
6. The current New7Wonders of the world is the foundation one.

Regarding to above facts, some have assumption that the current N7W has no right to nominate new seven wonders considering its status as a mere foundation. It raises another issue that N7W foundation just a tool to gain profit alone.

In my own opinion, it could be wise decision to not let such "grey" people or foundation to nominate something big like this -well, it's world matter so it's big-. To put it simple, just let United Nations (UN) to do this thing since they're real world organization. UN even have right to judge wars, so no reason to keeping them from handling this seven wonders list right?
